Lori Hetherton is a highly experienced Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with over eighteen years of practice in the field of general wellbeing, mental health and trauma. Her experience has included providing counselling, assessments and interventions to public and private sectors in NSW, ACT and VIC with individuals and through community development.

Lori provides a warm and supportive environment with a focus on strength and solution focused counselling. She assists people through some of life’s challenging moments, towards improving overall health and wellbeing. She understands that support looks different for everyone and by working collaboratively with each person, she can provide counselling and support to where they are in their own lives.

Lori’s counselling approach is integrative, drawing from interventions such as: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing, Solution Focused Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Mindfulness, Relaxation Strategies and education.
